Carolina Cardiovascular COBRE Conference setThe South Carolina Cobre Committee invites you to attend the upcoming Carolina Cardiovascular COBRE Conference. The meeting will be held at the Inn at USC on Thursday & Friday, Oct. 16-17 starting at 8 a.m. on each day. Speakers include investigators from USC, MUSC and Clemson. In addition, three other invited speakers -- Dr. Takashi Mikawa from UCSF, Dr. Robert Tomanek from the University of Iowa and Dr. Scott Baldwin from Vanderbilt University -- will appear. Dr. Roger Markwald, Chairman of Cell Biology & Anatomy at MUSC will give the keynote address Thursday evening at 6 p.m. There is a reserved block rooms at the Inn at USC at a discounted rate. To reserve a room call 866-455-4753 and let them know you are attending the COBRE conference. The talks will cover aspects of cardiovascular research, cancer, bioengineering and developmental biology and will be given by past, present and future COBRE investigators. Meal and breaks will be catered. A social is planned on Thursday evening prior to the Keynote address. The meal accompanying the Keynote address will also be catered.
